We had to put Bart down on Saturday , he was to the best of our knowledge 12 years old .
I picked Bart out at an SPCA Adoption at Petsmart in 2001 . We were unsure of his age at the time we knew he was at least a year old and probably not more than 2 . Originally we got him as a companion for Brian for his mt bike , Brian's other dog Tyler had retired . Bart was willing to go from day 1 he was happy no matter what , horses , bikes , hiking , ATV , car he didn't care he just wanted to go .
The last couple years as he slowed down he became my running partner . He would do up to 10 miles with me . He would sit outside the door looking in through the glass and if he saw me go anywhere near my running shoes the game was on .
He will be missed
